Passive House PLUS

A building certified to Passivhaus Plus not only drastically reduces energy use, but it also produces as much energy as occupants consumes, turning them into Passivhaus Powerhouses. The energy generated come from renewable sources and provide enough energy to operate the building throughout the whole year.

Passive House PLUS

The Passive House Plus, in which additional energy is generated, such as from photovoltaics. In the case of single family and buildings with few stories, such buildings produce about as much energy as residents consume, at least in an – admittedly somewhat misleading – annual net-zero energy balance.

Renewable primary energy (PER) is the unit of energy generated from renewable resources, e.g. electricity produced by a photovoltaic system / wind turbine or heat generated with a solar thermal system.

Water Efficiency: Installation of BRUMA Lusitano Series taps, a premium Portuguese brand, featuring EcoDrop technology and A water efficiency. These fittings significantly enhance the water-energy nexus by reducing consumption without compromising performance.

Renewable Energy Generation: A 12 solar PV panels system has been installed, delivering an annual electricity yield of 8,438 kWh after inverter efficiency, including 5,7 kWh Energy Storage System (Batteries). This clean energy source supports the project's commitment to sustainability and energy independence.

Swimming Pool Innovations: The swimming pool is equipped with polycarbonate cover blades, which boost solar efficiency by increasing water temperature by up to 8°C. This system also minimizes visible condensation, prevents algae growth, and reduces water evaporation, contributing to both energy and water conservation.
